So one of the main intentions of this blog
is to put pictures of new stuff that I've made.
Well, after making it to 50 posts,
I'd like to shift the spotlight for a moment to someone else.
Beth Lesser & Soul Jazz Records have teamed up
for a monster of perfection in book form.
It was almost impossible to choose which photos of hers to share.
Although, you'll have to get the book to witness
Al Campbell modeling in front of the Bones Brigade icon.
Along with the amazing photos come Lesser's words
that trace the storylines of Jamaica's Dancehall Culture. . .
Music that was created to be heard in the sound system dances.
If you have an interest in Jamaican culture,
1980's fashion, DIY record production, records,
hand-painted signs, hats - lots of hats, speaker boxes. . .
you should really pick this little gem up.
There are copies for sale on the computer for about $20
~ five or so burritos. . . get it.
